Shipping & Delivery Policy

Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Beginner’s Botany, we carefully consider the unique needs of shipping living plants and work to make the process as smooth as possible.

Order Processing

Orders are generally processed after they are placed and may require additional time for plant preparation and fulfillment.

Processing times may vary depending on plant availability, supplier processing times, weekends, holidays, and other circumstances.

Your order may ship directly from one of our fulfillment or plant-growing partners.

Shipping Times

Shipping estimates provided at checkout or elsewhere on our website are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Once an order has been shipped, delivery times are controlled primarily by the shipping carrier. Delays may occur because of weather, carrier volume, holidays, mechanical issues, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside of our control.

Tracking

When tracking information is available, it will be provided to you by email or through your order information.

Please monitor your tracking information and make arrangements to receive your package promptly.

Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address at checkout.

Beginner’s Botany is not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

If you realize that your shipping information is incorrect, contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist, but changes may not be possible once an order has entered fulfillment or shipping.

Weather Delays

Live plants can be particularly sensitive to extreme temperatures.

During periods of extreme heat, cold, storms, or other hazardous weather, shipping may be delayed when possible to help protect the plant.

If weather conditions create an increased risk to your shipment, we may contact you regarding available options.

Delivered Packages

Please retrieve your plant package as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Do not leave live plants sitting outdoors, in direct sunlight, in freezing temperatures, or in extreme heat for extended periods.

Once your plant has been delivered, it is important to open the package promptly and follow the acclimation and care instructions provided.

Lost or Delayed Packages

If tracking indicates that your package has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check around your delivery location and contact the carrier if necessary.

If your package appears significantly delayed or lost, contact us so we can help determine the appropriate next steps.

Shipping Damage

If your plant arrives damaged, please photograph the package, shipping label, packaging materials, and plant before discarding anything.

Plant-related damage or DOA claims must be submitted according to our Plant Return & Refund Policy.

For the best chance of assistance, contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
